Coalition for Quality Children's Media - KIDS FIRST!
The Coalition for Quality Children's Media/KIDS FIRST! is a national
organization whose mission is to teach children critical viewing skills and to increase the
visibility and availability of quality children's programs. Two primary programs are: Junior
File Critics Club that teaches media literacy to children, ages 8-13; & KIDS FIRST!
Film and Video Festival that is a traveling festival hosted by family service organizations.
They offer on-line media literacy training for parents who are concerned about
what their children watch and guidance on how to make their children become more
critical viewers.
