PROGRAM AWARD BOOK GUIDELINES
Objectives
-
Winning Program Award Books will receive the following:
1st place-$700; 2nd place-$400; 3rd place-$150
Winners will be recognized at the Annual Conference
-
Create a format that allows a wider audience to view successful National FCE programs completed in states.

Create a format for FCE members to become more skilled in:
- Program award presentation
- Marketing FCE visually and verbally
- Report writing and designing displays, as a way to enhance leadership skills.

Provide incentives for grass root members to participate in and attend Annual Conferences.

The Program Award Books/Displays at Conference will give
states the incentive to do a program/project, thereby increasing
their funds.
Each state may enter ONE PROGRAM AWARD BOOK AND ONE DISPLAY BOARD IN EACH CATEGORY for work done in the previous year.
Each state may order from National FCE Headquarters, free of charge, a display board for
each Program Award Book entered. Only display boards ordered from National Headquarters may be used.

LEADERSHIP: Providing leadership training to members and others
ACTION: Community service, networking with 1 or more groups, taking education the next step to action |
Program Award Book may highlight one FCE/FCL program focus the State FCE
Association has completed in the selected category or it may include all the
State FCE Association has done in the selected category. However, only one
Program Award Book/Display Board may be submitted per category and a
program/project may be submitted in only one category..
FOR PROGRAM AWARD BOOKS TO BE JUDGED YOU MUST HAVE USED NATIONAL FCE PROGRAM MATERIALS THAT ARE LISTED.
To submit a Program Award Book/Display Board on an International Project,
you must do more than collect and mail items to another country. There are
videos or slides of the India and Romania projects to rent from Headquarters.
These will help you study those countries.
To submit a Program Award Book/Display Board on the Essay and Artwork
Contest, you must do more than just sponsor the contest in your schools.
We want to see you actually using our FCE materials within this contest.
Before the start of the contest, you could go into a school and do a presentation
using the FCE pillar books/FCE Friends books on CHARACTER
COUNTS! You could also return to the schools after the close of the contest
(when picking up the essays) to get feedback from the students. Be sure to
include all this in your award entry.
Send copies of Program Award Books to National FCE Board members on
standard 8 ½ x 11 paper and staple together. DO NOT enclose in plastic or
decorative folders. The original Program Award Book submitted with the
Display Board at the National Conference may be in a decorative cover.

GUIDELINES
On pages 4-3 and 4-6 will not be judged.
